This has happened to me several times. I had one week since launch that was awesome as far as nightfalls go and that was two weeks ago when I got universal remote on my warlock (garbage) and heart of the praxic fire on my hunter. At least you get the buff no matter what because if that was RNG as well I doubt I would ever get it.
