The struggle of a 31 in the hard raid.

I have a 32 warlock and a 31 hunter. my warlock finds groups fairly easily but its like pulling teeth trying to get a group for my hunter. Even now I have the hard crota cp and everyone wants 32 only. Thats ridiculous. I get the perks of being 32. extra resistance and damage. But I'd much rather an experienced 31 (which I am) than a 32 who is garbage. 31's are capable of doing the raid. I've done it before and I've been in groups with 31's. Frankly, I'm not the sword bearer so being a 31 doesn't make that much of a difference. I go invisible so nothing ever kills me (save for oversoul) and have maxed out ice breaker to snipe boomers. RNGesus has not blessed me with gjallahorn even though I've been playing since day 1. I missed week 2 when xur sold it. I've also been in a group of ALL 32s that failed because they sucked. made me wonder how they got 32 to begin with. I guess my point is that just because someone is a 31 doesn't mean they can't do the raid and just because someone is 32 doesn't mean they are better. I wish people would be more open minded. Edit 1: I'm on 360

  • I agree with you. Most people mistake luck with RNG for skill. Here is an example. Player 1 finishes the raid ten times on easy mode and has a completion time average of 45 mins and still gets stuck at 31 because of RNG. Player 2 completes the raid 4 times on easy mode with a completion time average of 2 hours and is lucky with RNG and makes 32. Player 2 then takes to the forums to berate Player 1 oh how much of a scrub he or she is for not making 32 and how much they suck even though Player 2 takes longer to complete raids and dies more often. Same idiotic approach people take when it comes to "Earning" Exotics through RNG instead of buying from Xur. But the again this is due to Activision's Favorite Key Demographic of 12-18 yr olds making up 30% of the community and another considerable amount of the community that has the maturity and intelligence of said demographic.
