It is such a shame that the VoG gear was rendered useless instantly. I only ever got the boots and gauntlets and never got to wear them because I just bought new gear from the vendor to do the Eris levels.
They need to bring back relevance to VoG as its still a fun element of this game and people would still run it for a purpose. I find it more fun than Crota.

You should still run VoG for the chance at exotics. Get to that exotic chest, swap characters and get the Checkpoint, then beat atheon. Swap to a character with the gorgon Checkpoint and kill atheon. Repeat one more time for 6 chances at getting an exotic.

My team did the VoG again for the first time on normal and it was fun for kicks. Hard mode followed and we encountered so many of the same tired old bugs that we finished the raid out of stubborness, but it will be a long time before we jump at that again. How many months have we been expecting these fixes?!? Somebody needs to crack a whip on the managers of development teams. 'Xecs need to set a higher priority to players enjoyment. We enjoy the straightforward Crota raid with it's simpler mechanics that glitch dramatically less. And the drop rates are so much more predictable we all appreciate the improvements.

vog is a more enjoyable raid. i also have vog raid gear. a full set actually. even at lv30 it's strong enough for everything other than crota. the mistake they made was not changing vog armor to 33 light when the DLC went live.

Agreed, they should somehow give an option to upgrade this old loot to current Stats.

That would be brilliant. Some of the VoG gear looks brilliant. It's absolutely ridiculous that Bungie's vision would be to have everyone at the level cap to look the same. I mean there's one set of armour per class and ONE shader - WTF? At least if some of those had the full VoG gear at the highest light level it would add some variety. It's just so dumb that they would choose for everyone to look the same by nullifying previous sets of armour it just really -blam!-s me off.
