Can't Re-install Destiny After Error Code Toad on PS3

I got the error code toad on Monday and haven't been able to play since. The first thing I tried was unplugging the PS3 and my router, but that didn't fix it. So I decided to uninstall and reinstall the game. Now I can't get the game reinstalled. I can download Compatibility Pack 1 and 2 with no problem. But then comes the "Transferring Data" part. The total download is 5.96GB, and I can download up to 98%, but at 98% it restarts back at 0. I tried at least 20 times. So then I went through the following steps: Reset PS3 back to default settings - no change Restored File System - no change Backed up data and restored PS3 to factory default - STILL no change So I restored my data but I'm still at the 98% problem. I've tried on wired and wireless, I've unplugged the PS3 and router multiple times. System update is up to date as well as Playstation Store. I have 2 Playstations in the house, one is totally fine. Am I missing something obvious?

  • Hook ur ps3 up thru the modem and skip the router. Just worked for me and my brother good luck!

    • Same problem on the PS4, i'm stuck at 62% or 9.86 GB....

      • Try going straight thru the modem. My bro had the same prob and it just worked for us right now. Good luck

      • Same here with my brother's game on PS4. He got error code toad... tried restarting and all that... wouldn't work. Deleted the game, reinstalled. (he has the disc version). Once he gets through the disc install and starts the game and it downloads the updates/transfers files it gets to 31% and stops. Of course, I can't find a way to email Bungie directly and I've posted in the forums to no avail. I did message a BUNGHELP guy on here and he suggested trying a different router or internet, so we brought my bros PS4 out to my house and same thing... 31% and no further. As a result he hasn't played for 3 weeks and I stopped playing bc he's the main person I game with so I've spent the last 2 weeks on Minecraft with him instead. I planned on buying HoW and any other expansions but if I can't play with my brother, and no one at Bungie cares enough to help, then I guess we'll just move on to other games. There is plenty of other stuff to play but I'd prefer to play Destiny... but the lack of customer support has left a bad taste in my mouth and makes me not want to support Bungie anymore.
