My first Crota Hardmode kill was with a Dragonbreath hit that helped take him down (see the video). I think it is a very good rocket launcher. Of course you are going to miss some hits (it is in the video as wel) but the blast radius is fantastic to clear thralls on the stairs.
I havent been blessed by the RNG God to get a Ghorn, it is the only exotic heavy weapon that I do not have. I have to deal with I have. :)

Do you have Thunderlord? If yes, is it any good at crotas shield? Or should i max. my DB first for killing him on hard?

Edited by touchmeh1: 2/2/2015 9:44:43 PMI have thunderlord and yes I have use it against Crota. No it is not efficient against him. Any purple RL is superior to any machine gun against Crota. DB is a great RL regardles of what other people say. Sure it doesnt have a tracking system, but its better than any legendary rocket launcher and the solar flare effect does help prevent his shield regen.

Edited by touchmeh1: 2/2/2015 9:41:36 PMThat was precisely what I was told to do. I was told to lay low and survive and keep an eye on Crotas movement. I was the last guardian with the bubble for the last stage. Do not presume to assume too easily my friend. :)
