Also, most of the strike bosses hardly move, which makes DB extremely effective for them. Such as the devil walker, valas, phogoth, sepikis, the templar in VOG and the nexus. The list goes on and on.
This is 100% false, especially when you hit them with something that produces a DoT effect like a solar grenade does. The bosses move away from the damage which is why things like DB and Warlock nades were used to "push" bosses into precarious situations that usually resulted in their demise (i.e. falling off the map). That said, the ghorn is not supposed to be an all encompassing weapon. When attempting to deal damage to a single target, it is without a doubt the best weapon to do this. No other weapon will deal an equal amount of damage to that single target as ghorn will. If we start talking about other scenarios, then that opens up the realm of possible uses of other RL's. Truth should be used over and above ghorn in the Crucible, DB for the lambs (like you suggested), etc.

 • No it's not. The bosses barely move. They sit in the DoT all the time. I will add videos above to prove it.

 • Most if not all the bosses move out of it. Some move slowly out of it that's all. I can't think of one that doesn't move.

 • And I also never said it was good to use for Atheon. He moves like a mofo. The gatekeeper encounter it is great for. The confluxes as well.

 • Phogoth barely moves and he stays in the DoT if you corner him correctly. I never claimed this weapon is effective against the Archon Priest or Omnigul. They move like crazy and Ghorn is way better there. Valas only moves left to right by a step or two, and if you dps right at the start, you can kill him before he walks towards you. This weapon is very effective there. The nexus doesn't move enough to get out of the DoT. The devil walker doesn't move at all. But sepikis moves a little. The only reason I use this on Sepikis, is because I usually have a few rockets left over from the devil walker encounter and dont want to lose them to switching weapons. Ir Yut is slaughtered by this weapon. It literally makes that encounter a joke. It also parts thrall out of the hallway like Jesus parting the Red Sea.

 • Phogoth barely moves?! He can be pushed off the ledge with solar grenades!

 • That's strange, because whenever I throw a solar grenade at any of the bosses mentioned, they walk away from it. Valus wanders the entire arena, as does Sepikis, the Templar, Sekrion, Atheon, Phogoth, etc. That's why a few of them were able to be cheesed until the baby bumpers were added. These are things the entire community knows about. It's something in the AI. Enemies that are stuck in DoT will path out and away from it. Those that are outside of it won't path into it. There are countless videos that prove what I'm saying. I'd love to see yours.

 • A solar grenade doesn't have the impact of DB, they move out, eventually, but most of the time they take at least half of the flare damage because they are reeling and the flare is massive.
