I was thinking along the lines of Godzilla where all the MUTOS babies are feeding off the nuclear bomb. Except instead of the bomb it was Psion/Vex morphed into one and that was being fed.

The actual boss won't be that big. The psion mind doesn't actually hurt you, he just stays on top in the middle chilling. All his attacks are meant to be cerebral ie dark guardians and suicide hindrance.
