Halo? WoW? Final Fantasy? Star Wars Battlefront?
It's not meant to be realistic. You need to accept that there's futuristic games and fantasy games out there, and that theres more games out there than Call of Duty. And you need to accept that if you don't have a #satire up there, you're a dumbass.

Interestingly enough, the U.S. military is really all about that laser tech. We have a giant naval mounted Spartan laser. It shoots a distance of about a mile and blows things up/starts fires. The technology is entirely on its way.
