Why using tracking weapons is cheap

It basically screams that you're either incredibly bad at aiming, or you're too lazy to put effort into actually not sucking. Let's face it, you all beg and plead for a ghorn because you don't want to take the effort into actually landing a skillful shot. You might as well just mash the trigger and let the wolf packs do your dirty work. Things I know you will probably say: 'Baby is crying because he doesn't have a ghorn' Well there is a reason I don't. 'OP is a fgt' The more open I keep my options, the more action I get. 'I do have skill blah blah blah I just use the ghorn cause I want to yadda yadda yadda' Cool, then prove you have basic skill in aiming 'Your k/d sucks your opinion means nothing' Billy Mays is above a mediocre kd ratio. His skills are improving without the gjallarhorn. But wait! There's more: The truth hurts. And this pisspool community can't accept that the game won't conform to their will. EDIT: I'm getting bored of this thread so I'm just gonna stop replying to y'all. It's been fun EDIT 2: Lmao you all fell for the bait so hard, not even life alert can save you. EDIT: you're all idiots, please let me die in peace

          • Lmao, not sure if this is just a straight up troll post or what but very few people actually bother using Gjallarhorn in PvP, it's mainly in PvE that players use it and even then the tracking isn't the reason, but rather the raw damage the Gjallarhorn does. In PvP the truly OP weapons you should call people scrubs for using (if any) are Rocket Launchers which have Proximity Detonation, even better than tracking rockets because the tracking can miss but the proximity sensor always detonates if you get the rocket close enough to your target (and Truth has both Prox Detonation and Tracking, so I can only imagine what a noob-tube you must think that gun is). Not that I care if you think I'm a scrub for using it, I'll happily use whatever the best gun is so that I can go toe to toe with other well-equipped players (and yes destroy the lesser-equipped players but the point isn't to have an unfair advantage, only to prevent myself from being at a disadvantage). And to all the Machine Gun enthusiasts, yes Rocket Launchers are overtly better in PvP, I can't even count how many Machine Gun users I've blown up with my Rockets and harvested for more ammo. Machine Guns would be great if there were only other Machine Guns on the enemy team, but Machine Gun vs. Rocket Launcher, Rocket Launcher always wins.

          • People want the gjallarhorn because it's a force multiplier, not because it tracks targets lol.

You're talking to PvE players here. They have grinded day in, day out on AI bots that pose no threat once you understand their patterns. So of course they will revert to tracking weapons. Just makes the job easier, as it means less effort in the grind. They don't play to get better. They play to get weapons to make their experience easier so they can in turn get more weapons that makes their PvE experience easier and so on and so on. It's all part of the lab rat hamster wheel design. As much as it burns them out, they really do love it. They will defend this notion to the death, as they are so invested in it, they see themselves not as slave grinders, but veterans that have earned the right to mock and label non grinders as ''kinderguardians' or below 2200 grimoire score as destiny noobs or share the thinking that Xur should not sell G horn and grinding should be rewarded in other means than RNG and that level 32 is a sign of skill. These are the people you're dealing with. Soul-less conservative hardcore grinders.

            • Tracking on pvp, yes, a bit. I rather use machine gun for streaks. For pve, no way. A tracking rocket or Gally are the way to go.

            • Yep if they need to use ghorn on a boss or in pvp they are scrubs plain and simple.

            • Knowing how to aim is necessary but using tracking is "cheap?" That's just stupid. If Crota moves my HoC will follow. It's a good perk in general and you cannot deny that fact. Using it cheap? No. Relying on tracking for definite kills? It's kinda stupid but it's not cheap.

            • Gjallarhorn hits bosses like a train, that's why most people want it. Not to track people in pvp

            • Tracking just makes a highly effective launcher. Same as proximity detonation. Doesn't make u a bad player. Still have to aim to get a lock on dude.

            • Umm. They beg for ghorn because of wolfpack rounds.... tracking is the icing on the cake... Anyone begging for tracking wants truth. Scrub.

            • Or are fighting any -blam!-ing boss in the game that moves faster than your rocket can hit it? Rocket launchers aren't an instant impact weapon....,you could aim perfectly and miss because of enemy movement.
