So I take it you want to do the same missions, strikes, raids, bounties, and crucible maps for the next 10 years. That has nothing to do with VOG or all raids for that matter staying relevant. DLC adds variety to the game, it's your choice as a player to pick and choose what you like. It's not up to bungie to decide which weapons and armor we can use at a said point in time.
