Though this is an interesting concept, I feel it would render the Tower vendors and reputation obsolete.

  • For me they are already obsolete.

  • Okay, for you. However this isn't meant to be a solution for one in particular.

  • Your arguments are weak. Vendors aren't typically useless because you can choose what you want to buy. With my idea you will get random drops just like you get with engrams and rank up

  • I really haven't made any arguments yet. All I've stated is that we're looking for something that won't make other functions obsolete, and that if something is already obsolete to you, it's irrelevant. True, but since there's a way to get gear, even non-specific gear, without a price tag of 75-150 marks, barely anyone will be willing to grind marks to purchase something from the vendor. Most marks earned would end up going towards mats, and most players would just raid to get their gear.
