Ensure the orbiter is enabled. Not sure if your model has a screen scrubber (forget what its called). On the Pioneer Elite, it runs for an hour moving a white band across the screen. With the orbiter on, I've never had to run the scrubber.
I play Destiny at least 4 hors a day on the Elite.
When I first purchased the Elite (at least 7 years ago), I ran the scrubber every night for an hour until I had logged at least 100 hours of regular viewing. This was recommended as a good break-in for Plasma. Haven't needed it since.
My wife plays Destiny as much as I do. She uses a Samsung LED. No problems there, and no break-in period either.
