Scary...the fact that the majority of people responding to this thread have no understanding of plasma picture quality. The only TVs that have better picture quality than top plasmas are 2015 OLED 4k sets costing a fortune.
To OP: have you tried running a screen wipe/fix program for 10 hours or so?

That's a big reason why plasma has pretty much died in the last year. Lack of public knowledge and understanding. Anyway, screen wipes have done almost nothing. I've started trying out EDM videos and things like that. A bunch of bright colors swirling around the tv basically. And it's helping much more than screen wipe. However that image is being extremely persistent. Hopefully multiple treatments over a couple months will fade this out to the point of being almost unnoticeable or completely gone. Destiny will simply have to be shelved until something is done, it's a shame really I've played since day one.

It died because moving to 4k was not financially viable using plasma technology. First Panasonic, then Samsung, then finally LG. All dead. Oh well, times change. Only knowledgable HDTV enthusiasts really know the benefits of plasma over LED. Unfortunately, long term static image retention is an issue.
