Not true, I have almost zero input lag. Not noticeable at all. It's all about your settings on a plasma. Theater mode has some lag, game mode has none. I did my research believe me. People who buy plasmas are the ones who research tv's. Instead of buying the cheapest lcd they can find with a 50 inch screen.

  • Unfortunately for you and other plasma owners, all of the major plasma manufactures have backed out of the market. Plasma is a dying breed and once the last of the 2014 models are gone, they're gone forever. I just recently bought a new TV and did a ton of research on them but I ended up with LED/LCD as it's the future of TVs.

  • I have a $400 hd tv and it's perfect for games. 40" not too big, not too small no hd lag. But most of my friends who have plasmas have crazy hd lag. Maybe they dunno how to change their setting to "game mode " but it's annoying, especially in fighting games

  • Typically it's user related. 80% of people don't know the first thing about a tv. I've had to calibrate all my friends tv's so when we play tekken or smash bros or especially shooters the lag is as minimal as possible.
