human being - noun
any individual of the genus Homo, especially a member of the species Homo sapiens.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spermatozoon#Humans
The human sperm cell is the reproductive cell in males and will only survive in warm environments; once it leaves the male body the sperm's survival likelihood is reduced and it may die, thereby decreasing the total sperm quality. Sperm cells come in two types, "female" and "male". Sperm cells that give rise to female (XX) offspring after fertilization differ in that they carry an X-chromosome, while sperm cells that give rise to male (XY) offspring carry a Y-chromosome.
According to this:
- Human sperm is human
- Human sperm can exist on its own (a spermatozoon)
- A spermatozoon is a human being
- Laws referring to "human beings", such as murder, therefore apply to human sperm
- Male masturbation is, at the very least, manslaughter
Prove me wrong.
Sorry, Zion. It was a valid argument you didn't address.
Edit for those not seeing it:
An individual human sperm is human.
Any individual under the genus Homo is a human being.
Therefore an individual human sperm is a human being.
-
So if human sperm is human (both semen and eggs) then a zygote must be human and abortion should be first degree murder. Agreed.

Edited by antie: 1/30/2015 2:47:21 AMOP's implications: If sperm is human, and killing humans is immoral, then killing sperm too should be immoral; to be logically consistent. Or If sperm is human, and you think killing sperm is okay, then killing humans should be okay too; to be logically consistent. I call it, liberal damage control.

Sperm can rest on a women's face and not squash her head ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
One tastes good and the other doesn't.
-
A sperm is not under the genus homo. It's half of the DNA required to make a human. So yea.
-
I can swallow sperm. I can not swallow a human.
-
I've killed so many humans

Checkm8 women.

"Human cancer cells can survive on their own, and are human cells" Guess we shouldn't be attempting to cure cancer. Yeah you're right. Let's leave them out to suffer.
-
Difference is I can shoot sperm like a foot. Sperm can't shoot me anywhere.

Y'know, I claimed this like two years ago and nobody believed me, at least now there's evidence

When the sperm combines with an egg, that's where stuff starts to happen.

Edited by Bolt: 1/30/2015 12:00:54 AMI don't know what greater argument this is part of, so sorry if I'm giving ammo to a side I don't agree with, but this is a way I found to beat it via the overly-literal definition game: Homo (genus) The genus of hominids that includes modern humans and species closely related to them. Hominid any of the modern or extinct bipedal primates of the family Hominidae, including all species of the genera Homo and Australopithecus. While it may be possible to (correctly) define a sperm as a primate, I'm somewhat confident there's no correct way to define a sperm as bipedal.

Fashion sense.
