Killing yourself to respawn everyone is not 'helping a guardian out'. If you want to help a guardian out, chill out and help them kill the enemies.

Its helping them get to the end faster! I mean that's the goal of strikes right? To kill the boss

Yeah, but I'd like to enjoy the gameplay that leads up to it as well. The strike doesn't just consist of the boss.
