If you're tired of people killing everything in strikes try this!
If you're like me and you rush past everything, but there's that 1 guy lagging behind killing stuff then help a guardian out. Get to the checkpoint and then kill yourself. More than likely you'll be the only guardian at that checkpoint when you are playing with these slow unhelpful people so it will just wipe the group and respawn everyone at the checkpoint you just died at. Easy way to tell if you're the only one at a check point is to just look at your radar. If you don't see any green on it then you're the only one in that checkpoint. So if you wanna be the boss and set the pace of the strike then give this a try!!!! Works well for me

A great many people want to level weapons or armor up. A great many want to make glimmer using augments. If you get on comms before the mission you can get a good idea of what your group is going for. Otherwise your teammates are just going to run backwards.

I do it only for the bounty, because its so annoying conpleteing a stike and youre like 15 tears of.

So because some people don't want to run through the strikes as quick as you, you will kill yourself just to spite them for playing the game the way they want to? Bit harsh IMO. If people want to kill shit, fine but are you really struggling that badly on strikes that you need their help? If you want to speed run, find some people who want to do that, otherwise, don't be a dick because you want to fight fast and the others want to fight slow.

I have a 31 warlock and a 29 Titan. My Titan needs Titan mats and exp. so I shoot everything. If you speed ahead I will catch up but I will be killing everything as I go. Dieing to have me spawn where you are is selfish. That said my warlock doesn't need mats. If the group rushes through everything I'm game for that. If someone lags behind killing stuff I will stay with them and contribute. This game is way more fun if we all communicate with fellow guardians.

3 RepliesI notice a lot of 31 and 32s either doing this or just sitting at the previous checkpoint till we finish then running to the next and waiting. I have a lot of things i need to do outside the game and if people are contributing I keep that to a absolute minimum but if i have people like this I get up a lot do those things at the boss. Usually instead of just going to a corner and going afk i go run out and do something stupid right next to the boss and die where they cant res me and get up go afk for a minute or 2 and come back and repeat till they do 90% of the work. I dont report people for anything no matter how retarded what they are doing is. I would rather you be sitting afk like you got up and left than so obviously just not wanting to help kill till the boss room.

3 Replieslast night I was running strikes with the same guy for about an hour. I was leveling my Thorn so I killed everything I can in contact with. he was using the Thorn as well, but I'm not sure his intent. it was pretty nice just strolling through, smashing on all the baddies. once in a while we'd get a speeder, but they never pulled weak moves like dying to get us to spawn with them. I don't mind running through strikes, but I let the others in the strike decide. if the other 2 players are running, then I'll run with them. if 1 wants to hang back, then I'll stay back and cover him.

When people do this I take a seat. If you're in that much of a rush to finish be my guest. I'm a grab a cuppa while you finish.

If you going to rush it you should have the skill to complete it solo. They are not that hard

There are days when I like to kill everything in my path and there are the other days where I just want to complete the damn strike. How does a person killing everything slow you down though? The strikes are really not hard to complete on your own

Hahaha I love this and am always the one getting to checkpoints fastest. Archon priest is the worst. Everyone tries to stop and kill everything in that first area with the vex fighting fallen. Just run by them already gah

1 ReplyIf you cant handle whats ahead on your own then you shouldnt be rushing off ahead on your own. What a knob. I speedrun ahead sometimes, sure, but I get started on the next bit and wait for the other guy to catch up, because Im not a nubble mcscrubble.

Who cares. Strikes are simple with new vanguard gear. 5 or more level advantage should be plenty. If you can't beat it then play something else because you are obviously bad at destiny.

I play both ways. If I'm trying to Rank up a gun, get Bounties or Rank up some armor I kill everything in my way, but I don't go out of my way to find a target so I can rank up my upgrades. If I'm working on Vanguard Points or rushed for time I rush thru. Those that don't like it can either Kill off the Boss for me or hang back and enjoy the carnage. Either way I'll be there helping you fire off the last few shots or reviving your dead carcass because you ran ahead and can't defend yourself. Everybody plays different and honestly if you rush ahead I can only assume you are capable of killing off the Boss in the end all by yourself. If that's the case then why worry about me hanging back having a good old time.

Today at archon priest strike they pulled out there sparrows at the Pike part and sparrowed past everything. I killed everything and the 2 gatekeepers on the way and had a legendary engram drop and another at the end of strike. They freaked out saying why didn't I get anything.... :)

Usually in with my friend so I really don't care. Your only in the same strike because we can't launch with two. Gjallerhorn is a better 3rd teammate anyway so if you're way back at the beginning chances are the boss is going to be dead before your done killing all the small fries and get a chance to catch up to us. The best part... On the remote slim chance there was any good drop while your wasting time... It'll be back at the post master for me :)
