No, the whole point is that the Precursors virtually created neural physics. They can create and destroy life as they see fit. They could literally take the form of Abaloth, just 10 times worse than she already is.

I can't read that since I just started the trilogy but ice never heard of them ever being able to take the form of anything, Abeloth can literally control them quite easily, and they won't be able to control Abeloth since she is immune.
