So I'm a hunter and Cayde-6 at the tower sells two sets of legendary armor: Gravebreaker and Jackknife. And that's all he's ever had for me. That part of his stock never changes. But I just found out today he used to sell two other sets: Ghost Angel and Dustwalker. I started playing the game this new year with The Dark Below already installed, and the little "I" on the icons for Gravebreaker and Jackknife seem to indicate they were added by the expansion. So does that mean that the old armor sets are unattainable now? Have they been permanently replaced? Is it intentional that you're not supposed to be able to get them anymore? I don't understand.

Unfortunately, you can still get pre-DLC items from the Cryptarch. I've received a few of these from legendary engrams I turned in. Apparently he over ordered everything before they told him they were discontinuing those items with the release of The Dark Below. Some of them have been upgraded to the new levels but not all.

Edited by AscendantSpider: 1/22/2015 2:53:50 PMThat is correct, that is the old set for the previous level cap of 30. All the new dlc sets bring you to lvl 31 (32 if you get the raid set gear). So the old ones wouldn't be worth keeping anyway unless you wanted to stay at 30.

All of the Tower vendors got inventory updates at the time of the Dark Below release. Different armor sets with higher maximum Light level (used to max out at 27) and different weapons with higher maximum attack value (used to be 300). They'll get a similar update when House of Wolves releases.
