He shouldn't have to is the issue. Especially if the only thing holding him back him back is an increasingly annoying bit of RNG bad luck. I was incredibly lucky and have all raid pieces, minus a helm, but I have an exotic helm to make up the difference, some people though have just had the worst luck with armor drops. They may get epic weapons, but never useful armor.

I've had 2 black hammer and both heavy weapons drop from raid but still need 1 more armour piece on my hunter and Titan. Annoying.

Yeah, that's a pretty common thing. There have been a lot of people this time upset because they're getting too MANY weapons as opposed to too few.

I thought this raid was better for that? I've never even finished this one, but I have 2 pieces in 2 attempts. Maybe i just got lucky? I know i only ever got gloves from vog, so i assumed the drops eere better.

The drop rates ARE better, but that still doesn't guarantee anything unfortunately.
