So, I know some boys are not used to the idea of girls playing video games
Fixed. I remember hearing that the average age for males harassing females over online play was 14/15. I can't think of any situation where a 14/15 year old was regarded as emotionally/mentally representative of an entire gender.

 • I fully acknowledge that boys harassing women online is a problem. I just think it's a shame that my gender is viewed as the problem. I'd love to have more women on my friends list, but I don't send out requests, because it's almost always viewed as me hitting on them or what have you.

 • It's usually because as soon as I speak, they send the friend request and it's quite clear they're only befriending me because of gender. I'm more inclined to accept a friend request when I've actually played with someone. If they're fun, and easy going, I send my own friend requests.
