I agree that blindly following orders is not noble, however if someone is trying to invade my land, kill my friends, and destroy my way of life, because they disagree with it, I'd say fighting back is pretty noble. They picked the fight, and told you to convert or die. Your cause is just. Our world, and western society would be very different, both in Europe, and America, had the Germans succeeded during WW1 and WW2.
