Am I the only one?

This game seemed like it was going to be epic in scale and originality... And yet it seems empty and repetitive. The maps are lackluster in loot and exploration, while the bosses are a chore to beat rather than a challenge. I love bungie. Halo was my first gaming experience, but the story in this is pitiful so far ( haven't finished mars. Maybe it picks up? ). Also don't get me started on the missions copy paste objectives.. I don't know maybe we overhyped it ourselves? I'll continue to play it because it IS fun, but just not what I expected..

  • You're not the only one. I saw this on a forum a few hours ago. I think he hits the nail on the head. Goosa 17h 47m ago PermalinkYou have valid points. TL;DR: Destiny is the best arcade title I own, made me a smarter consumer by telling me that the gaming industry is changing and I need to be informed. Crazy that Destiny isn't being accepted anymore because resale stock is maxed. Most of my buddies left and I still play because of the solid mechanics and smooth fps too. We now joke around that it's the most expensive arcade game we ever bought and its a good try for a new company ;) (we got the digital editions so no recouping even $13). Love the game for what it is, hate the game for what it was marketed as/represents in the industry. It has made me a smarter consumer though. I'll never pre-order again, when adverts are mostly cinematic I chuckle, the company's take on DLC and its role, and value of consumer to the company are all things I look at now and I thank Bungie for opening my eyes to that these things need to be considered now. The Consumer/Developer relationship has been changed and we just need to adapt like they have adapted. They have wants/needs that they want met and I have wants/needs that I want met. If they (any developer not just Bungie and Activision) don't seem to care about meeting mine I really shouldn't care about meeting theirs.
