I think it was just a timed release. Months and no IB then its released a week before hard mode with solar weakness? I think its more geared to vets that may not have bought the first line, not really noobs.

The only place in the raid where solar is matters is Deathsinger for those 2 wizards. It's also nice to have to kill the 2 wizards on bridge, but those don't need to go. I usually solo the bridge, so I don't usually end up killing them.

Btw if you have Icebreaker upgraded, try it out on the beginning thrall maze. When you have a lot of thralls behind you you can just turn around and no-scope and they all explode.
