This is outrageous.
Once again, Xur hands these noobs great weapons and now everyone is running around with a icebreaker. The first time was fine, no one even knew what the gun was but now all the noobs get some of the greatest weapons in the game handed to them once again. Watch Xur do something ridiculous next week and sell Suros or Gjhallarhorn next week. Once again, Xur has ruined amazing weapons that people have EARNED. This is starting to be too much enjoy not earning the weapon the real way noobs. This game is overrun by casuals
Edit: Lmao these noobs still are mad because they didn't earn their exotics like good players. Seems like all the good veterans left.

What bounty did you complete or what level did you have to achieve to "earn" Icebreaker? You didn't earn shit, you got a lucky drop. RNG based rewards are not earned. I've seen players get 3 pieces of raid armor in one run. I beat the raid every week and am stuck on two. Does that make me more of a noon or casual player just because my RNG luck is bad? Aside from bounties, NO ONE has earned any piece of gear. It's all luck.

You do realize how many people got the ib from the first chest in Crota right? Lol. I didn't get an ib then but I got a thunderlord. My 17 strange coins were much harder to earn than dropping down a portal and opening a chest.

You didn't earn icebreaker. You were fortunate enough on a rng to get it. You earn Thorn, Invective, or Bad Juju by grinding. You earn raid weapons (minus the cheese) by learning raid mechanics. You don't earn rng rolls. You can get icebreaker off a dreg in the Steppes. Albeit very rare.

5 RepliesIs it just me or shouldn't bounty weapons be the only ones that can have the definition of earned in them even they are a bit random to get but at least you have to do tasks to get them. All this earned crap is a little ridiculous in a game built on a random loot system.

He has already sold the icebreaker twice before. Just like any of Xur's weaponry it is extremely popular for a weekend or a week. But over time people just go back to what they are comfortable with or the next Xur special. I'm happy for those that can get it now, I can focus on learning other parts of the fights that normally have the people with icebreaker sitting back sniping. If there was no icebreaker this weekend, there would be posts of people breaking discs cause they didn't get one. People will complain regardless.
