I ended up watching the entire video and I couldn't agree more with what this guy is saying. But there is one thing that's clear, this is not bungie's fault, yes they partnered with the most money hungry publisher out there, but it explains why so many people left during the last year of development. Cutting content that should be on disc for release is a crime itself, to us the consumer. The only reason why Activision is so successful is for cod, I remember they used to publish some great games packed full of content. The only way we can stop this from happening is to stop buying the games they publish and the dlc packs. I like destiny but feel cheated by the way its release has been handled. Bungie seems to be trying to make us happy and improve the game, they must feel disheartened by the fact their vision has been sliced and diced into a shadow of what it could have been. Until we the consumer voice our concerns by simply not buying the product is only when this crap will stop.

  • So if they added all the stuff that is in the dark below and house of wolves from day one,you still think the game is only worth $60?

  • If they had the 8 strikes and 3 raids like the video mentioned, that is what should have been $60. Expansions should have been made and sold, yea, but not by taking the game and dividing it up so much that you have to buy each tiny bit. The Dark Below (for xbox) was $20 for a strike and a raid, and a few short story missions. You think that was worth $20? If companies are left to do this unchecked by consumers, we will be paying for each mission in the story for our games with no way to know how much the total cost would be in the end. And then they will figure out how to charge a monthly fee to milk us a little more like WoW did. $15 a month from 12 million players, that's a lot of money.

  • We value things differently. I feel like I got my money's worth. If you and many others feel you didn't, simply vote with your wallet and don't buy the next game.

  • That's what I intend to do.

  • In an ideal world yes that would have been great if they kept the content on disc and then periodically unlocked the content as time went by. But cutting the content completely and then selling it as dlc is wrong , other publishers have learned not to do this. Destiny had a lot of problems that are not being addressed but the main one seems to be the cut content and lack of trading etc. Don't get me wrong destiny is a good game and bungie has done well, its Activision that has let us down.

  • So if they were up front about locking off parts you would be OK with paying more than $60? I think the base game is worth $60. If everything was included it would be worth at least $80 to $85. But we have been trained to think all games are only worth $60. So no one would be willing to pay above $60 even if it's worth more.

  • I don't think the base game is worth £50 at all because when you seriously look at its content its lackluster. Even if they included more story which they should have done its worth more its price tag.
