This guy, with the same stuff. He's unaware of what really goes into making a game. Everything was there, he says. The map was, maybe a dead ghost, that's it. You have to script in dialogue, script in cutscene, put enemies in there, set spawns, set spawn timers, deal with enemy ai, and then playtest to ensure it works with the rest of the game. There is no evidence supporting that it is, in fact, complete content. None whatsoever. All the things I say they have to add are based off of my very limited knowledge of what goes into a game. There's probably more things that go into it. So yeah, continue with this conspiracy with offering no proof other than glitches in to areas and some moronic guy who complains non-stop about Destiny, but still continues to play it, coming up with half assed ideas based off of half truths and whole lies. He continues to play, but says it's garbage. That right there makes anything he says afterwards complete bullshit. He is a liar right off the bat, why are people trusting his stupid, stupid ideas?

  • Cut scenes, dialogue... Bungie should hire you :)

  • Lol. There's dialogue in there. I just think cutscenes in the middle of the mission would help tremendously, but give the option to skip. To me, the "we've woken the hive" mission was the best mission in terms of story. Mid mission cutscenes would be very, very useful. They show us what to focus on and what to think of it. That short little scene did actually show a decent amount of story content that had to be inferred. It's possible for guardians to die if the ghost is taken from them, the light is something like a life force with them... I mean, just little bits like that really help. Imagine little snippets like that throughout. In fifteen second cutscenes you could have actually known by the end of the game why you were actually killing the things they tell you to kill amongst many other glorious things. I understand they went for a dark souls-esque way of telling the story, but it just isn't working. I mean dark souls 2 had to add a patch that is essentially story time so that players know what is going on. Kind of ridiculous and it shows that method of story telling doesn't work. Just wish Bungie would've stuck with how they know to tell stories, beautiful cinematics with dialogue throughout the mission that lets us know what we're doing at that exact moment and why we're doing it. This game has so much potential, but this method of story telling needs to go.

What script and cut scene? Lol Did you play TDB? I've seen this kind of thing before, a half finished framework for a new area or section left on as a placeholder until a final version is released/updated. That IS NOT the case here. These levels look fully finished. Just need enemy AI activated. What is hilarious is that Bungie claimed these DLC's were almost 100% new material generated since Destiny launched. I think it's fair to say we all know what's going on at this stage. Was Destiny worth my 100$? Absolutely, I just wish Bungie were more straight forward and honest with their players. Most games you play till the last level and trade. Once the game is released there is very little investment required from the publishers. This is a different beast, this a continuing investment from Bungie. That costs money to run. So I get it. But just tell us how it is Bungie. And come clean about the in game progress slow down you have implemented as well. Lol

  • Yes, I played tdb, I was merely stating possibilities. No, they haven't been completely honest, but I still sincerely doubt any of this content was 100% complete. There's no evidence of that. Also, never seen a quote where they've said 100% new content. They've said new missions, etc, but never new areas. I do agree with the need for transparency, I agree with most of what you said. My entire point was that this dude has no real evidence explaining why he's right. He can't prove anything. Bungie has several issues that are merely being glossed over and hit with the "we're looking into it" blanketing statement rather than focusing on these issues. Even if they were giving tiny little tidbits about progress with certain things it would help. They don't have to be concrete, just give us something better than the blanket statement. Say the heavy ammo glitch for example. If they're actually working on it, let us know. That would satiate the hunger for information for many people. Then when it gets further say it's being playtested, and so forth. This would help alleviate some anger. However, guys like this continually spouting out garbage with no proof aren't helping. I understand people have their own views, but sharing these in this manner is nothing more than toxic. It's a thirty minute video of an immature fellow pretty much insulting the company and saying the proof is that the area is there. How is that proof? Considering how quickly the dlc came out after launch it only made sense that the playspace was actually complete. Having that for allows for designers to actually be able to balance spawns and make for a better overall experience for the player. People can't seem to fathom this idea and I don't understand. How many games had dlc three months post release that was actually mission content and not pvp maps that didn't have the play space nearly done? My guess is none.

  • They did say something along the lines of "almost entirely new content created since release of Destiny". That's all I'm really calling them out on. That and the fact that they deliberate chopped up what could have an amazing story annoys me though.

  • Technically it is new content, even if played in the same area. They've not been direct enough with their marketing and definitely need to be. Missions themselves don't add much replayability, neither do the strikes. I still enjoy it, but I understand the issues. Missions should be more like strikes and strikes more like raids. The raids would then be even tougher and truly worthy of the title. There's a lot of issues, I could go on about it and how to possibly fix things forever. I'm not meaning to defend anything they do or to say your statements are untrue or of any less value than mine. I'm just annoyed by all the stuff people complain about without actually having any good argument. I enjoy good discussion, not the ignorance that people generally spew around here. It's always just this sucks. I've enjoyed the discussion here in this post. The people like the guy in the video are the problem with the community. Every time I see his videos I just have a need to completely prove his idiocy. People need to understand that we aren't gonna get content, whether you like what they've given us or not, without paying for it. What was in the vanilla game was far more content than most other video games out there. To continually produce this content they have to make money. It costs a lot of money to make video games and dlc is preventing us from having a monthly pay model or, even worse, a free to play model. I've got no issue with disliking the game, but I do have issue with saying you hate crap just to start crap. That's all this is. Why else would the guy in the video still play and support the content with his money unless he really liked the game? He just saw an opportunity to get views by using a hot button issue and pretending that he actually knows what he's talking about. I hate YouTubers like that. They whore themselves for views and people eat it up. I'm legitimately surprised he didn't use breasts in the thumbnail to further stimulate his viewer count.

You put your opinions across calmly and articulately, are you sure you play Destiny? Lol I do wish Bungie would stop with the "hidden" slow down they are implementing though. Stretching things out by having less shards, more upgrading, less drops. The attitude seems to be "keep them playing" somehow, until the next DLC. I understand why they would do this, but I don't like the idea that they seem to think we don't notice, I find it condescending to be honest. Again I would just like transparency.

  • Lol. Articulate? Not so much. This is me haphazardly typing out stuff on my cell phone. Maybe I should post videos of me playing horribly in crucible and spatter off my rants about this game. Unlike this guy they'd actually be constructive.

  • I was just listing off things that may have to be implemented, not necessarily will be implemented. Wishful thinking, I suppose.
