I've talked to her on several occasions. But it doesn't seem like we know each other as well still because we don't talk much when we go out with our group of friends.

or ask her on a date to get to know her. talk to her during mini golf. talk while eating frozen yogurt. simple stuff.

I've been there man. Just start slow, don't expect half hour conversations with just the two of you right away. If you get the opportunity to talk to her, take it. Again, take it slow, try to find out what she likes, see if you have any common interests.
