I'm pretty sure Osiris was obsessed with the Vex and not the Hive. VoG Warlock gear says this, along with the Trials of Osiris event that takes place on Mercury (a machine world by the Vex)

He was obsessed with both lol I only remember the Hive part since I've run the dark beyond more than my fair share, and can't skip those dam cutscenes...so the Osiris part is stuck in my head lol
