Going out on a limb here but I'm pretty sure the CE weapons cap at 331 attack. Bringing the VoG weapons up to par with them would mean absolutely nothing. Hell, vendor weapons cap at 331 attack as well. Going on that logic there is no reason to get ANY raid weapons, VoG or CE since Vendor gear is much more easily acquired. The only incentive to get the new raid gear is for the unique perks they have (i.e. Black Hammer's precision mag bonus.) I know people who would love to rock a 331 Fatebringer for the Arc damage and explosive rounds AND have Black Hammer as their special for tough enemies. Having the options to bring old gear up to par with new gear would be great. But to add extra incentive to do Raids, make it to where the only way to bring old gear up to par with new stuff is with the next tier of Shards and Energies. Want a 331 Fatebringer? Hell yes you say? Well hop on in the Dark Below Raid and grab some Radiant Energy so you can upgrade that mother. That's just one tiny idea. There's tons of ideas that can be voiced, both supporting and not supporting the topic. Your vague statement of why it can't be done is close minded and unhelpful. Add the "use your brain" comment and now you just sound like a snide jerk. Bring some content to the thread or just keep your remarks to yourself.
