You're partially correct, but not completely I think. The flavor I isn't just specific perks, but a combination of perks, damage type, gun stats (impact, recoil, etc), and gun type. All of these combine into an unique item with its own play experience. If what you are saying is correct, and there was a Crota version of Fatebringer for example, then this thread wouldn't even exist.

  • Agreed. But isnt that the problem? If you could upgrade Fatebringer, who wouldn't continue using it if they had it? It's so good of a weapon that there is no need to use any other primary 95% of the time. Isn't that kind of boring? RPGs are about adapting to new challenges and obtaining NEW armor and weapons as you progress. If you just use the same stuff then whats the point? I can most definitely see both sides of the coin. I don't want to give my fatebringer up just as much as the next person... but finding new guns and armor and using them is what keeps a game like this exciting.

  • I see where you're coming from, and it's completely valid. Perhaps the solution isn't simple, but I'd like to think there is a middle ground to be found.
