It's a way to keep the game fresh and force players out of their comfort zone. Look at how many responses on here are "ermaghad yes! I want my vision of confluence!" VoC is a great gun, but if you're so bad that it's the only gun you can be competitive with, I don't want to play with you, and I want to know not to play with you.
