Deathsinger is easy and gives no loot. I see no need to do that checkpoint unless I can't find a Crota checkpoint.

If it's so easy, you could beat it and be on Crota by the time you search for Crota checkpoint and get back in. Should only take 5 min to beat her.

But I just do up to the second chest solo on the day of the reset for convenience reasons and do the Crota fight later in the week with a full team. Takes less than 5 minutes to beat her, last time I did the fight the song started as soon as we ran out of the spawnroom and I believe that song takes 3 minutes. The liturgy that comes up the last 30 seconds didn't even start when the witch died.
