If it had a reward afterward, more people would complete it. As it stands, the shrieker hallway and the deathsinger are pointless tasks to complete, which is stupid because the lamps give a substantial reward and that part is way easier than killing the Wizards. It's a lot easier to clear the bridge and then find someone with a Crota CP. You're right though. After about 6-7 attempts, I was able to solo it. I can only imagine that a fireteam would be able to clear it easily. Edit: As a few have pointed out, I was wrong to say that the shrieker hallway was pointless because of the second chest. I've only recently discovered the secret to getting in there 100% of the time and briefly forgot about it.

  • Tips on soloing? Tried for an hour and kept most of the time dying with the singer. Sometimes the knights notice me while shooting the wizards and I restart. Doing it with a group is a lot easier I can assure you that.

  • I start on the left side (that the laft side as you are facing the area that Crota spawns). I'll run in and draw the attention of the first wizard. I'll then retreat to the boomer tower and pick her off with an Icebreaker. Repeat the same steps for the right side. I stay on the right side for the shieker and equip my ghorn and make sure I've got full ammo for it (shriekers won't spawn until it says the Deathsinger has begun her song). I'll run in, past the mobs, and take a shot at the shrieker. Here's the tricky part. If you leave too quickly, the shrieker will close back up and the wolfpack rounds won't finish it off, so you have to make sure it's dead before you run away. Watch out for the mobs. You'll know it's dead because the giant purple death orbs will start to seek you out. At that point, you run to the other side and do the same thing with the left shrieker. When it's dead, move back to the right side (death orbs will be gone by this point) and attack the deathsinger from that side. There are WAY less mobs to deal with. I'll use the remaining 5 rounds from Ghorn to take care of her and then will retreat back to the boomer towers to clear out the remaining mobs. Acolytes will continue to replenish their numbers as long as Knights are still alive, so focus on the knights first. Otherwise its a waste of ammo.

  • That's exactly what I do. Seems I just have to improve my reflexes a little bit and avoid being melee ambushed from behind.

  • It was frustrating, especially since the raid is so damn glitchy. Sometimes the Deathsinger's song doesn't start until after I've killed 5 or 6 of the mobs on the right side. Sometimes it would start right as I drew the attention of the first wizard. It was completely inconsistent.

  • Yeah and the ammo loss glitch(both special and heavy) is plain annoying.

  • That more than anything needs to be fixed. If it's not going to be fixed, then the synth timers need to be reduced.

  • Yeah. I edited my post. Like I said in it, I only recently figured out the secret to getting it all the time, so up to that point, it was a skip for me.

  • It takes longer to skip it than to play it. Plus why is the entire community being little babies and skipping fights? Skipping EASY fights at that

  • I don't think I've played this raid with a full fireteam since week 1. When it's only two or three of us, that specific fight gets a little more complicated, even more-so when it's just me. The three minutes completion quickly turns into a much longer engagement. That's why I skip it most of the time. It's hard to find people willing to join in to help with it, so usually I just look for a Crota CP.
