Are people who go around the deathsinger Even worthy of endgame?
Pretty easy fight. Takes about three minutes to do legit, kill two witches, kill two shriekers, kill a witch, done. Fight a hundred knights and off to kill crota. Are the people going around this fight, who aren't willing to invest three minutes, worthy of raid rewards?
EDIT: know what the worst part is? People won't even tell new raiders what's going on. They aren't explaining they are cheesing they aren't explaining how to do the fight legit. Then PPL get mad that no one knows how to do it. If we aren't teaching the new guys what to do how can we be mad at them for not knowing?
Edit: If you guys put as much effort into actually raiding as you do defending your shady actions this would be a non-issue

The Deathsinger isn't really hard, but once you have beaten the raid a few times, at that point, its nothing more than a grind for gear... That's it. Period. End of story. They made a sub-par, half assed raid and then, to keep people playing it even though it sucks, they introduced gear that can only be leveled up with materials obtained from inside of the raid... This was bound to happen... They purposely made this into an unnecessary grind, and people are navigating the grind in the most efficient way possible by skipping the areas that don't give anything for the effort...

Week 1 when everyone was still 30 and people didn't quite understand the timing, this section of the raid was seemingly near impossible. The pass two weeks my teams have successfully cleared this section on the first attempt with minimum casualties. The raid is actually fun. Shame everyone wants to skip or cheat it. My team cleared the whole raid this morning in an hour, it doesn't take long if everyone knows what to do and works together. (Having a 32 doesn't hurt either)

It is easy. The only part that sucks is the ridiculous amount of yellow bars in the area and after finally getting rid of all of those annoying bastards, you don't get anything! It would be worth going through all that trouble if the DeathSinger could drop something afterwards -.-

I wish to be rewarded for the time and effort I'm dedicating to complete the various phases of the raid, Deathsinger included. No reward=no completion. I'll skip it every time. Even if its just shards, f.f.s give us something.

All will be resolved I hope when the hard mode comes out. Rumor is they are pushing it back until they fix the fights. Death singer is a easy fight and I have 3 manned it legit.

Did it last night with 3. 32,31, and a 30. Not hard once you get around the shrieker death blast.

I agree with it being an easy fight. It's the only part of the raid we beat legit on our first run in order to get the crota cp for the rest of our characters. The raid in itself is soo -blam!-ing easy, and we have beaten it without cheese several times. However, until Bungee gets their shit straight, we are going to cheese it every time from here on out. It sure was nice getting all 3 raids done in less than an hour! :) I now have full raid gear for my hunter and warlock, and every raid weapon available. Go ahead and patch it now bungee- I no longer need anything from the raid. :)

8 RepliesI don't think Bungie would look at skipping the Deathsingers as cheating. Perhaps an abuse of/manipulation of their checkpoint system, but not cheating. Also, perhaps you don't recognize this, but there are a fair amount of people that know how to do it legit, but prefer to not waste their time since there is no reward tied to the Deathsingers. For me, I thought not getting a reward when we beat her on the raid's debut day was a glitch. It was hard initially and I assumed that SOMETHING should drop. Now it's easy, but why waste time over something when you get nothing for it. To fix this, Bungie could add a loot drop (weapons/armor/etc.) for her on hard mode.

11 RepliesIt's a major boss and part of the raid that doesn't give a reward once completed. Bungie screwed up on this one therefore I'll be skipping it every time.

Give a reward, problem solved. Doesn't make any sense that there's not a chest or anything. Only part of raid that doesn't. If devs want to skip a part, can't be mad if others do too.

I used to look for ways around her, but when you have a good fireteam (yes I know it can be one-manned) then there is no point just go in lure out the wizards, kill them. go in destroy shriekers, run out to avoid death blast. run back in jump on ledge and nail deathsinger, when dead run back out and start cleaning out ads. simple when you have a good team.

6 RepliesWell as much as i agree with you. Ive done the hard raid legit 5 tines but I've started cheesing because honestly its so fast why not just get it done and move on with other priorities. Besides when the raid is patched and hard comes out all those guys who cheesed every raid and don't know how to so it will be stuck trying to learn the normal raid well we can do the hard. So instead of starting a argument on forums just keep practicing

It a pretty fun fight but really the only reason the raid is worth doing more than a couple of times is the loot. When we can get loot from the encounter I'll do it again. Until then its pretty easy to grab a crota cp

Personally I don't care whether or not I skip it, it's just up to what the rest of the group wants to do and I just follow. Is it difficult? Depends on your teammates. Is it time consuming? If you let it be. Should there be rewards for it? Perhaps, I'm on the fence about this one. It would have to be shards or energy. Having regular raid drops might be a bit much.
