This happens in every MMO, why should bungie have to treat the situation differently? People want to collect gear, and thats cool, but it doesnt mean that the devs should keep that gear relevant. Its a novelty. nothing more. It was designed for relevance in the previous content of gear, and while i agree that you should be able to play the game the way you want, in this scenario its up to you to use the old gear, and not on them to make it the max attack power. Also, 300 damage weapons are still perfectly acceptable in most of CE. no reason to make it 331 and break the progression of expansions/gear.

  • Hey whats ur take on the vendors upgrading with each expansion? They also help make vog irrelevant.

  • Im cool with this and feel like they handled it well. The vendor gear is the gear that can be used to bridge the gap for new players or players who dont have the time to jumb straight into the new raid for any reason. If the vendor gear capped out at the same level as the new raid gear, then i think that would present the same problem as if older raid gear was the same quality as new expansion raids.
