...lol, i will definitely be running VoG even after i get FB, there's still way too many people who need help with their first VoG run which gives me an opportunity to give back to the community that once taught me how to raid however i am slightly more disappointed with the fact such a great gun will get outdated (maybe apart from 'arc burn' Nightfall and Weekly where it's gonna remain viable for very very long time given its 3x modifier to the damage) - i understand it simply has to happen and i'll be running Crota for the new hc - the Word of Crota - the moment Hard mode is open, ... well, what im trying to say is that regardless of the above i might turn 'handcannon crazy' once i have it ))) although i will still <3 Scout rifles, 4eva )))))))

Its still better than my 4 331 hcs, idk why I even level them up haha, I know my fb is still better

i am not saying its bad, but than there's the math, by no chance it can match a 331 HC when fighting a lvl 31+ enemies (...provided they have equal impact ofc), that's simply how bungie created the damage distribution and levels ...on the other hand, for any activity up to level 30 its most likely The one to go for ;)
