The best way to get legendaries and exotics quickest, is to go into crucible and walk around looking at the ground. This will enable you to achieve last place in the ranking of your team, after that you're given an exotic. Note: this works better if the team loses

5 RepliesChecks Authors profile, ahhh that explains a lot. Sorry Christmas dude but welcome to Destiny. Everything about this game is grind grind grind. Should have done some homework about the game before getting it. I guess the only way to get anything would be to go to the crucible, run around like a headless chicken and come bottom of the team and then RNG an exotic. Seems to happen a lot by all accounts, worst player gets best reward.

5 RepliesGrinding is a huge part of the game, heck it's been a part of gaming for decades. If you want the rewards, do the work. It's not all 'pointless'during the 'grind' you will learn which weapons and setups suit you. You will meet new people in dailys and weeklys and even make good friends. Then, when the rewards come you will feel elated and like you have truly earned them :) Pre DLC most of us were stuck at 29 simply waiting for an item or 2 to drop in the VOG, that was daft so now you can get there through hard work. Much like life you get what you it into it Have fun

There is no way. You have to grind. This game IS grind, and every decision Bungie has made since the launch reinforces that even they know that there is nothing else to it. And you're right, you shouldn't buy anything that you think isn't worth the price. The fastest way probably is to do strikes on the hardest possible level you can. Which is probably useless, since without the DLC you can't get lvl26 strikes, and they took out the awards from lvl24 strikes. So, uh, yeah. If you have friends on higher levels, ask them to take you on nightfalls and weeklies for gear and coins. When I thought for a good answer to your question, I realized how much they're pissing on the non-DLC players. Their already limited content was stripped even more. I feel dirty for supporting this game and company, I had no idea they (Bungie) would go down so fast and reduce themselves to something like this. I still play it, but it's more like a habit that's hard to drop instead of actually having fun.

Do nightfall, weekly and daylies. That way you may have drops and can also buy stuff from Xur in the weekends..

Do the vanguard and or crucible bounties every day or every other day and in a few days you'll have enough rep and marks to get something. Also the roc strikes have been generous to people lately if you do decide to get the dlc
