I don't but it doesn't matter because it doesn't make business sense. Why on earth would you remove incentive to move customers to your new product by making the old one just as good? Either don't make a new product or only improve old products. Doing both is pissing in the wind.

  • It does make business sense. There is absolutely no reason to do VoG what so ever unless you want to do it for fun, or you still need a vex or fate bringer (and fatebringer only because of firefly, which will not be worth the under leveled power eventually). This is a fact. I got from level 1 Warlock, to having gear to reach 32, without ever touching VoG, and only buying 1 chest with light 33, just to give me a slight boost to start Crotas End. and I'm level 31 on that Warlock, just need shards since I dump them into my Hunter mostly. You should manage old products and create new products. It'ss not pissing in the wind to do both. It's pissing in your consumers faces when you disregard an "old" product immediately. Keep in mind, the games only been out since like Oct, and the raid less time than that. It's not like VoG is actually "old".

  • You've made a point a was thinking of making about the speed of the releases. I think things are moving too fast and are therefore causing this issue. However, VoG is not meant to be relative forever. It's difficulty is capped at 30 and weapons capped at 300. They want you to buy the expansions and play the new stuff, get new stuff, and grind to max that new stuff. That's where the money is. There is no money in upping the difficulty of VoG or the weapons you can get from it. If you don't buy the expansion that's ok because they have your money from vanilla destiny and they are no longer investing in vanilla destiny. Again, it does NOT make business to move old stuff along and right now VoG is old. By old I mean obsolete to guardians that have begun to move past level 30 of course except for shard and energy farming. It is just fine for guardians working toward level and it is fun to play. You are not talking about just managing an old product but making it as good as the new product and that is two different things! They've managed the old product as far as they intended already through updates and hotfixes. Don't expect any more VoG changes. I will acknowledge that it is not written in stone that no changes will come but I highly doubt they will because it IS pissing in wind from a business standpoint. They want you to move on or you can keep playing the old without them making further investment into the old. I don't see what is so hard to understand about it.

  • Making the new VOG hard mode (lvl 34) for DLC purchasers only. Instead, they piss on the players already playing by making them reset every 3 months. With no incentive to do the VOG, why would anyone do it? The vendor gear surpasses the VOG gear. Now why would Bungie make every Raid useless after a DLC? that seems more like bad business to me. I know every other mmo does this. Having not played mmo's, I can honestly say I would have cancelled my subscription after this realization. Destiny is too solid of a shoot to put down..... yet.

  • Isn't that how games with progression work though? You grind to a cap. Cap gets moved higher. Grind to new cap with new gear. Cap gets moved again. Grind again...right? What are we expecting here?
