Of course it is. I've screwed up plenty of times.
And when that happens, I learn from it. I don't carry on blindly waiting for a self-reser to save the day.
You can't carry on blindly when you screw up, because you will be dead on the floor...contributing even less then the guy who just self ressed himself. In theory you say you learned something, in practice all you learned from PVE is "don't be in that spot, spot = bad" and will go on looking for a better spot, dying again in the process until you find the spot you don't die at. Then at some point, when you find all the best spots to be in at all times, you can execute the raid flawlessly with your eyes closed.
Next raid, repeat the same stuff until "learned"...
Have had guys like this enter my raid, because we were 1 short of our regulars...
First thing they will say is that they are better without the Sword, and someone else should use it...
After 1 Wipe; they will explain a whole new tactic while he died in the left wing to a knight...this is our fault..we didn't even get to our tactic yet
After Wipe 2; will rant about why he doesn't understand we cant do this new tactic his team can pull of flawlessly, i mean we had 1 whole try to get used to it, at least on the second run he got down in the middle, but died to ogres...but yes, this is our fault...
After Wipe 3; all of a sudden he is actually better with the Relic or Sword and needs to take it...because we don't understand how to use it properly...he is lvl 30...i was 31...
Guy Dies trying to pick up the Chalice....somehow this is our fault again...and leaves
This really happened btw
