PETITION: VoG weapons at 331. Raids shouldn't be rendered irrelevant.

I really wish Bungie had a look at the comments here.] [b]Come on, Bungie, give us the freedom to choose whatever suits our style best and don't let those awesome weapons you've designed become obsolete. Actually, don't let the stunning Vault of Glass (best content in the game) be consumed by the darkness. I believe that Raids and its weapons should always be the at level cap. More weapons to choose from, more content to play. Weapons are mostly situational and mixing them is part of a successful strategy (it's fun too). Having more to choose from just add to the game. Edit: I'm not suggesting to automatically turn them into 331 attack weapons. Just give us a way to upgrade them to the current attack cap. I bet you guys can implement it in a sensible way. Why would we go against the idea of having more relevant weapons at our disposal? It's like saying "I'd rather have less weapons, less content". Let's not be passively attached to an old format.   • They should implement a system where we can pay a ridiculous amount of ascendant energy/shards to upgrade VoG gear. Like 250 materials for the upgrade would be fair imo.

      Literally all I want is a vanity slot for armor b/c some people like VoG armor more than CE armor (not me) but it would also put use to the faction armors as well. For instance, you could have all of current raid armor, maxing your level, but you could have it look like faction armor. Instead of making the faction armor obsolete (let's be honest, who uses faction armor if they have raid armor?)

    • U have obviously never experienced a real MMO or RPG before or else u would know that every time a new raid comes out (a real raid not these pathetic destiny raids) everything from the previous raid is entirely irrelevant and is dog shit.

    • Eh I say make them half as powerful. Or else then those old raid primaries are the same as new raid primaries only don't have hive breaker etc. with each expansion they be bumped up to a middle ground between the last expansion and the current expansion. That way they are worth keeping but also new raid weapons are more valuable. Since between 6 raids we get from the first Destiny game (including expansions) we only have 4 enemy types. So we will have some repeats. So already having weapons that are max level that already have specifics to cause additional damage to a race of alien is inevitable (big words day I guess). So they should be brought along, not max though

    • One of the most logical solutions would simply be to add a higher difficulty level to older Raids that reward you with upgraded gear to w/e the cap limit is at. If you wanted to get VoG armor for example that allowed you to reach Level 34, it would be justified by having to beat it on a Level 34 difficulty. However if hypothetically they did do this, I would like to see some physical changes made to make those Raids more challenging without taking the lazy approach by just increasing enemy level cap (aka what they did with VoG and not CE).

      The main problem I see with this is the simple fact that if the vog weapons were 331 why would you want to use the new raid weapons, the primaries, over the old ones considering everyone seems to drool over fatebringer and Vision of Confluence. You would never use the new primary weapons over the old other than for their specific use against the hive. The ideas that are highlighted are good, but never having to actually get a new weapon because you'd know that you are just going to get some new raid matts and upgrade your old stuff would make it stale. Plus it would make a lot more work which would probably lead to more bugs or crys for nerfs to keep all old weapons and armor relevant. It would help if they spread the dlc's out more to keep things more relevant longer like mmo's do. It'd be nice but I don't see this happening. Imho I think it would ruin the game to keep every last piece of gear you are going to get up to par with everything new that comes out. Edited for spelling.

    • I like the idea, and maybe to keep the new raids relevant, if you want to upgrade your old raid armour you need to upgrade it with the new raid materials/energies. So players still have to play the new content if they want there old gear to stay relevant, not just get it automatically by doing the old raid.

    • The reason why I'm against this is because if you do a raid that's a level 30 raid and get a gun from it (aka fatebringer.... My love) it shouldn't be as strong as other dlc raid weapons (word, fang, etc etc) because that raid is supposed to be harder. It's like saying that some blue guns should be at 331 because it's too hard otherwise. You can still use the VoG raid guns just fine in PvP and PvE... Just not as much any more. They're meant to get you ready for the upcoming raid. Not for all of them. That's just my opinion [spoiler]If you hate, please, dispense all of your tears into my urn of sacrifice[/spoiler]

        • Easy fix is to add new difficulty ratings as raids get older. At end game I'd like to see all raids have a max lvl option that's rewards max lvl gear. Then guardians will actually have max lvl customization.
