THEY'RE THE IDIOTS. they could've made the freaking gift BEFORE<-------- Christmas and given it to us then. OR they could've made the gift beforehand and given it to us ASAP

Because making plans to visit family took up all of their time between Halloween and Christmas?

Because surely they weren't dealing with other things between then. You know...like the exotic patch, the DLC, and all the other hotfixes right?

Let's not lie to ourselves alright? That is NOT DLC... that is locked content on the disc. Anyone looking at the size of their downloads could have seen that. A holiday celebratory gift in the game had to have been thought out long before release. They had to have anticipated this and had it in wait to be released. You wouldn't be so dense as to think they had to make one from scratch would you?

Why? because the areas on the map exist? Where is the script that allows the enemies to spawn, the voices to play, and rewards to be had? They didn't exist until the nearly 2 gb update, even then they weren't locked on the disk. In the past when there has been Disk Locked Content modders and hackers easily found ways to access the features they held, yet....and I have searched a good bit....there is nothing more than a glitch that showed the mission place holders.

It isn't just a few areas with held. There are even enemies in a few locations that can be killed and ghosts that can be obtained.

And? One was left over from the Alpha that is know and they placed the ghosts there to save time for later? Seriously, do people not realize that this has been happening since the Original Super Bros? There are actual levels that you can't access unless you had a game genie it has been going on long before Destiny did it so why is it so bad that they did it? I keep forgetting that anytime a retro game did it is fine, but now it's just unspeakable and shouldn't be done. Am I saying Destiny is perfect? No. But bitching because there are areas on the map and cry "IT'S LOCKED DLC!" is idiotic. Until there is coding for enemies spawns, for an actual mission to be played in that area it's not disc locked content. Even if there are enemies remaining in a certain area it was more than likely just an oversight or would have took more work to take the enemies out and put them back in later. So far only one area has had enemies in and it was on the cosmodrome (Again which was in the Alpha and Beta). Everyone seems to think it is like -blam!-ing forge from Halo where you can drag and drop items and it will just work, but that isn't how development works at all. Tell you what you find me video proof of someone actually playing all the DLC missions (including the house of wolves missions which were also shown) and I will stop arguing about. Til then it's not DLC just a simle design to save time for later missions.

Look at the cost of a retro game. When the hell did anyone buy DLC for Super Bros? We pay $60 or more for this game depending on which version we get. We also fork out extra money for a game we already bought to play everything on it.... things that are already on the damn disc. If a retro game made me fork out an extra $20 for some extra levels after finding out the shit is already on the cartridge, I'd not bother. My copy of Destiny came with a season pass, but I paid for a Limited Edition version. At the time, nobody knew how much was getting scrapped from the game. If I had known, I'd never have pre ordered it. Waste of my money for such an average at best shooter.

Ok maybe you are forgetting that back in the SNES days what capcom use to do? Remember all the different versions of Street Fighter 2? People shelled out $50 for a new version with more character, but no one complained and that lasted all the way up to the previous gen. Games then were nearly expensive as they are now. Sorry if you were born before that era in gaming, but an SNES did cost at one time $200 and only came with Super Mario World (and in inflations and games and consoles are about the same now as they were then) . Not even including Street Fighter some games were $50 or more and could be a complete and utter pile of trash. There was no quality control back then for games. Imagine shelling out $50 for a game and it being completely unplayable. You claim things were stripped yet the only evidence there is of that is cut scenes that were shown at E3 (which of course are going to be shown to get players excited about a game and build it up to be more than it is) and the fact the maps were already fleshed out which is what developers have done for a long time (even going as far to put things in the game and NEVER use them). Again, SHOW ME someone playing the missions in this game. I want proof that the missions were cut. You get me that and I will drop this whole thing. Also, and finally, if you don't like the damn game then get rid of it. Don't spend days bitching about then come back every day to play. Just quit. As it is you have even started a new hunter on the game and even then have spent a total of ~516 hours on the game. You wouldn't have bought a new Copy of the game if you really though it was that bad and yes your complaints make it seem like you truly hate it. You know why the digital version cost less, because we didn't get a little ghost or the handbooks both are why you paid extra, for the physical merchandise. Seriously if you hate the game that much or truly believe you were ripped off just leave....quit being a little child about it.

Gotta love self proclaimed know-it-alls lol, go on psn store and purchase dlc for a game I promise you it will have to be downloaded and installed. The dark below had nether. 2gb update lol the raid alone takes up more memory that that. People have accessed dark below areas in the beta a month before destiny's launch, and how do you explain them giving that guy fate of all fools 2 months ago? That gun still isn't available to the community.
