Feels like they are wanting you to get heavy ammo synth's from Eris, if anywhere - she gives them randomly and sells for 5 Hive Wax thingies. Too bad, but Heavy Ammo Synth's were so easy to get mass quantities for only 1 strange coin. Just another "grind slowdown" seems they are implementing. And yes, I am feeling cynical today! Haven't decided if I want Dragon's Breath. Feel like the only time I would use over Truth (don't have Gally yet, which will slot above all other exotic Heavy's when I do) is on Solar Burn. Even with that, I have a few killer solar Machine Guns that do the job just fine.
