This is the feedback side of the Destiny Companion App right? I read through all the suggestions and was astonished with the Ideas and References. It was all amazing. What's bothering me is that this is the Feedback section of the Destiny Companion App, and yet where's the developers who are supposed to be here speaking with us and playing the game with us. To further improve this app I would suggest for Bungie to fund for group that focuses on interacting with the players of this forum, constantly asking questions on how to better improve and giving suggestions and taking notes. This would allow the players to feel listened to. The second step is to stay updated and update the game as it grows. This would serve a new purpose to the Companion App. For example: Player: We should be able to travel across earth and see how the darkness changed other parts of the world. We should be able to find some villages that we have to protect and that if we don't it gets destroyed and we forever ever see the destruction of the village as we traverse through the land! Developer: That sounds like an interesting idea. We have some things up our sleeves for being able to go to different parts of earth. Tell us what you think the player should find in these villages? Where would you find these villages? Player: London? New York? Japan? Canada? South America? NPC who live off the land and defend themselves with Guardians gone rogue or Guardians who lost their ghosts. Maybe even New Monarchy aiding the villages! Maybe we could find legendary armor forged in darkness.. Or next gen tribal weapons! Developer: We could find a new Fallen house who's looking to conquer these villages! Or Cabal who landed on earth and you as the guardian has to fight them off and ensure they do not make earth their new home! Player: That's awesome! And even a new found species who aid in restoring the traveller! Developer: Got it! All ready on it, we'll see what we can do. And there we go! Ensured delivery, and a possible outcome.

All the content is done. . .the "new" armor for titans that was mysteriously already in the games cover, the wealth if evidence that locations already existed on the map. At my company we call what's happening "maintenance only mode" basically all the profitable work is done so only minor tweaks are made. There is no further development because any additional time put into the game would not produce proportional profits. They have the DLC complete and in their pocket waiting for release. To dream of full scale changes and extensive new content is a dream. The most you can hope for is coding changes requiring a tweaking if numbers or perhaps one additional line of code (vault space increase, weapon nerf/buff). If I may be so bold: do you think it was coincidence that they had crafted playtime extending barriers way back when the DLC was originally finished. It's fairly common knowledge in the gaming community that the issuance of DLC is usually in response to a waning in the player base as players get bored of the core game. Which brings to light another much more scary question: did bungie vision know this game was going to flop so hard that they planned for a DLC release 3 months from launch?

  • That's an outstanding example, and I'd love to see it implemented. Sadly, Bungie pretty much just ignores the Feedback Forums. Anytime we get word from DeeJ (and it's only ever DeeJ, the rest of the devs refuse to come onto the Forums and actually engage with their players...) it's just "hey, we've been thinking about some similar things. I've heard it being tossed around in our daily meetings". Nothing concrete. nothing to say whether they're working on anything at all, just that they "talk about it". It's pretty insulting.

  • Has Deej ever commented on this? Only responses I ever see on these feedback threads are just a bunch bantering back and forth among mostly selfish idiots. It would be nice to actually get some Bungie feedback on the feedback thread.

  • I think so too. I really think that they should engage with their players, not only in forums, but in Destiny as well. People wil always need a group to play with. Why not form a group a the tower with Bungie players for Nightfall?
