Here's my opinion, since you all asked. Call it a cheat if you want, but it is definitely a glitch. Why? Because I guarantee you the first team this happened to found it by accident when their fireteam leader got jackrabbited or vipered into space.
If it can happen involuntarily, then it is a glitch. Everyone is exploiting that glitch. Maybe this one is more serious than pushing aetheon off the ledge, but the outcome is the same. Bungie makes a "boss" with silly vulnerabilities and does not thoroughly test their product. Sorry, but this is 100% on bungie.
That being said, I've never glitched him since my ft is pretty solid. He is not difficult as is. But I don't hate on the cheesers.

Bullet number 3 of the Microsoft Terms of Service. Do not intentionally take advantage of a games vulnerability and use it as an expoit. What your doing is essentially victim blaming. Because something is vulnerable does not make legal to do. It's in the TOS contract. I hope they all get banned or at the very least a marker that tells other players they cheat.

Lol, that's laughably vague and broad. Farm the loot cave? Snipe oracles from the top? Double up on bounties at 1am? Everything falls under this umbrella, so why do people think that one offense is worse than another? And poor bungie, they've really been taken advantage of. They aren't a victim. They're the dude selling rufies and wondering why people are using them.

So how can they tell who was kicked for what reason?? Did host Internet lag out (taking LAN line out)? Did they really do this cheat/glitch?? How will they really know??? 1st person they ban that can prove they had no control means BIG FCKNG PROBLEM for said company... You guys are funny waiting breath over something so trivial... Not like you lost or gained anything of real value.

LOL!! that goes to Microsoft, unless you are contacting bungie, which is even funnier.. because they cannot do squat... This is not HALO and they control nothing other than the game's design.... You do know that only about 1 in 5 reports are even valid enough to warrant a check and the more 1 person reports numerous others... the less they actually look into your report unless several others have reported them as well..... LOL!

I never said they were not, what I am saying is I see little to no fall out for anyone... Again if you owned a business, and 30-40% of your customers did something you did not like. Would you refuse them service??? Guess what the guy down the road... YOUR COMPETITOR... He will take them, & allow them the BS that made you cry... Now he has increased his customer base 30-40% & all he had to do was let you run your mouth..... If we put people like you on 1 console and did not allow anyone else top play.... that console would be gone before the year was up....

Personally. I can't answer that question because I don't have to make that decision. I hope that I would stand my morals. If that something is taking advantage of someone's vulnerability I hope I would make the right choice. But no one can answer those tough decisions without actually being there.

Would you threaten the lively hood of your family for said actions that just annoy you (like a sign saying no loitering outside, but they are all your customers that hang out after eating or whatever)???? I agree standing to your morals is a very respectable thing, but not over something like this.

That's different than this. This situation is more like. I climbed Mount Everest and have this accomplishment I'm proud of. 300 other people rode a helicopter to the top and are given the same props. Grandeur scale but essentially the same situation.

Actually it is more like you climbed it (awsome), but 300 others found a walking trail & made it to the top..... weather makes it hard to get heli's up there... Then after that you CHOOSE to climb it... Okay you are a RAIDER/CLimber, they are walkers that walk thru it.

I do understand, and that is why I really laid off COD.... The absolute refusal to do anything to stop it.... Like someone said, if I want to go competitive GO PC... that is where the real clans are.... That is where you can make a name for yourself... Or go to Japan and play pro there... I just do not want to play keep up with a gaming Pc anymore.... $$$$$

(disappointed with it) If this is the experience of console gaming I'm not long for it, and in agreement with the fact it's dying. Huge MMO fan with some league of legends on the side.

Along with the Kinect, they have already provided a skyrim full dive VR... not sure how long before we have it.. Oculus is about $6k right now and not for games. I enjoy games I can immerse myself and build my story as I go... I have played Lords of the Fallen, it is cool... A lot destiny could learn. when you die all xp stays there for about 3-4 minutes you can get to it and pick it back up... But all the AI's spawn again.... like the xp you earn you can use to level up or hold it (the higher or more xp you have, the BETTER you loot drops from chest, boss fights and all drops get.... so I thought BS gimmick... I used a priest with the reflect spells and then a knight with the brute spells.... YEA it is fckng awesome... I saved up 8k on my knight and took out the second boss and got a rare shield that I can use and now, almost all the low level AI's cannot damge me through it.

NO, Microsoft does not ban glichting or small hacks to a lot of other games so why this one?? other than 1 TOS violation, which is cause for review and a letter 1st.

Read the above mathematics. Besides that you can see it in the network activity. Error codes from DCing are logged. Leaving intentionally might be logged to but it will have a different marker. Or they would simply know because there was no KTO error logged on that disconnect.

So if my wifi goes out during a storm, or power outage.. they know... that does not pass the smell test & I am looking into it... It does not add up. All these errors are only for the network side, so if the error is caused on our side, they get he same message. Also, does it make sense for a company to say BAN 30-40% of its customer????? Do you guys see activison banning people off Cod?? no, it will not happen.... If you mod the console, run a hack in game... than yea they got you...

In the case your network is knocked out because of power the only way to know would be to investigate your network connection history via IP. If it's a common enough problem you might slide by if no one physically reports you. Like I said there are ways to know. If you have several reports and conveniently strong network connection that only bugs out on Crota. But this is moving away from the main argument. Which is its a violation of the TOS and like it or not it bugs people. [b]Your[/b] the ones cheating. Doesn't matter what my reasons for caring are.

I care because the one small sentiment of uniqueness in this game is your ability to clear challenges. People are cheating those challenges and are being included with the small % who are good enough to do it.

You and that % is not as small as you would like it to be..... If you want to be in that elite %.... Go beat a raid SOLO or something.. until then you are a 99% like the rest of us... "99% like the rest of us" That is exactly why I care. I'm competitive as is most gaming guys. I can do it with little effort and it makes me feel just that much more superior when the majority can't. If you don't feel that way, why play multiplayer games?

I am highly competitive, but not on things like this.... multiplayer like team V team. I played with GODz in BF2142 and before they won the BF3 beta on CPU they asked if I would mine taking an alternate spot.... I said if he can beat me & he could not... But he ran far better with the squad than I did, so I stepped out and they won gold.... Pride comes before the fall... And a video games is not something to be so proud of you get upset or feel indifferent towards others... IMO.
