How do you feel about the new hand cannons after the dlc launch? Anything stand out in your mind? I run tdyk maxed and it seems to be holding up well in the higher levels to 28. I just got another thorn bounty and was going to run it to get the max attack 331. Currently have a 300 attack thorn not maxed and it's pretty decent after the patch. Still love my tdyk but feel it will eventually become obsolete once I go after Crota. Also have a tlw I was going to hand over to xur for the upgrade. Do you think when the house of Wolves drops they will up the attack of the guns again? Would it be worth the strange coins or should I wait since that gun sits on the shelf for now?

As for your questions, I still used a 300 Fatebringer in the raid and did work so a max TDYK would still wreck in my opinion. Depending on how much the level cap is raised, I think 300 damage would still be relevant. As for the new ones sold by the vendors, the vanguard one you can buy sucks with a 5 round mag, if you can get one with field scout from RNG then you got something to work with it. As for the one sold by the crucible, I'd say it's definitely worth it. I also would recommend getting a Thorn 2.0 from the bounty. It wrecks in PvE maxed out.

Thanks for the insight. Much appreciated. I was searching for info on hand cannons and stumbled across this thread a few times. In fact I read this thread initially when I strated getting serious about hand cannons and learned of tdyk and fate bringer. I'll get on that thorn 2.0 bounty soon. Still need to add fate bringer to my collection. Your right.. The devil you don't stinks with that terrible mag size. Hopefully I can find one through rng like you are suggesting. Definitely buying the crucible gun. Still struggling with upgrading tlw as I hardly use it outside of the crucible. Your the man. Thank you.

Didn't mean to revive this. Just had a few burning questions I wanted to bring to you. Hopefully I didn't cause any grief. Looks like there are a few premadonnas that caught wind of this. Sorry about that. There really needs to be a thread dedicated to hand cannons on here... If this one isn't already the best.
