I disagree completely, if you could trade marks for different ones it would ruin the balance of the game. People could easily get more than the 100 mark a week limit. Also why would you want to trade marks, it makes you false. People can look at your armor and tell what type of person you are based on your armor. Also farming for materials was not pit away lol. I farm for materials all the time because 1 in every 7 chests will give me 10-16 material from that planet. It is easier to farm materials than it used to be and a heck of a lot faster than buying them. Stop complaining about how Bungie made the game. The game is perfect and extremely fun to play

  • 10 vangaurd marks for 20 mats =a total of 200 mats. If then you traded the 200 mays for crucible marks you would have 20. So in essence you're trading 100 vangaurd marks for 20 crucible. It would be extremely difficult for this to be exploited so I don't see how the balance would be messed up. There's still a mark cap of 100 a week and most items are more than 100 marks. And a side note, it would be cool to exchange mats for other items to. Like other mats, ascendant mats, or even motes or strange coins. (Obviously for a rate that doesn't break the balance)

  • No they couldn't. Didn't matter if you traded for them or not before, once you hit 100 that week you were done.

Before they changed it, you could purchase crucible marks with materials, which had no impact on "balance". If you had both the New exchange and the old one, you would need to earn the full 100 weekly cap for just 20 of the opposing marks. Which would leave you unable to earn anymore for the week. So trading mark for Mark wouldn't be practical, unless you were desperate. I'm glad you think this game is "perfect" but most people don't agree with that assessment. I just think it's funny that you think cutting off PvE players from faction vendors was the best thing ever. If I throw on a faction bond and earn enough rep I can get some random piece of faction gear. Yet I can't walk over and get the actual stats I want on my gear because 5 of the vendors only accept crucible marks... Yea, sounds perfect to me too... ( >_<)

  • Yep, the best way to make a game awesome is by limiting player choices.
