[b]Eidolon Ally[/b] is really crappy and not worth it as a primary weapn, I already got 3 of them 2 maxed out. Waiting for the hard raid to turn them into the [b]Necrochasm[/b], but [b]Necrochasm[/b] will still be a [b]SHITTY[/b] weapon if the[b] stats (impact&range&stability)[/b] stays the same as it is in [b]Eidolon Ally [/b], even thrall explosion perk [b]WILL NOT[/b] save [b]Necrochasm[/b] from being [b]shitty ,IF[/b] stats remain the same..(bad stability/impact) this is [b]Vex Mythoclast[/b] other way around all over again (nerfed dmg, 50% tried to compensate with higher attack, "buffed" with lesser magazine perk and more attk power, which actually made it even worse or mayby even than it was after first nerf..... Bungie never gets anything right on the first try.......(suros regime will be a better weapon than necrochasm if impact &stability&range stays the same, this is [b]100% certain[/b], only semi good thing will be arc dmg)
[b]FIX IT BUNGIE BEFORE IT EVEN STARTS DROPPING[/b]...Don't want to wait another 2 months for you to do some minor change that have no impact at all, house of wolves will probably be out before this issue is addressed...
at this rate necrochasm will not be worth an exotic slot neither a primary weapon slot..

As it is atm in the database,seems to be exact same version as eidolon ally stat wise...(except reload speed)...
For those who aren't lucky enough to get the eidolon ally you can inspect my profile, my warlock and hunter have both equipped them at the moment , both with different perks so you can compare / speculate if you don't have one.

[b]UPDATE 27.1.2015[/b] couple of our clanmates got it and It is exact same weapon as eidolon ally, it can't even kill (yellow)cursed thrall in the raid first part [b]without reloding[/b] same exact version of eidolon, cursebringer only works 50 %of the time because it says "frequently triggers" it needs [b]impact buff[/b] he said. And no cursebringer does [b]not[/b] hurt allies.

I just got the necrochasm recently. The damage output is pretty solid, but the mag size is too small for a gun with an extremely high fire rate, the stability makes it rather difficult to get precision kills, and the cursed thrall explosion blast radius is somewhat lacking when compared to firefly. The idea of triggering cursed thrall explosions left and right is nice, but once you realize how much the stability of the gun contradicts the necrochasm's key perk... It's kind of upsetting to say the least. Hopefully Bungie has plans to buff it soon, because it actually is somewhat fun to use in pve... (With the hunter's Gunslinger's trance at x3). Which essentially increases the weapon's stability up to three times with each precision kill. In all honesty, as of now it feels like the necrochasm is severely outclassed by the mythoclast from both a pvp and pve standpoint. DeeJ I'm counting on you... (I'll keep posting this until I hear something about a Necrochasm buff)." Typically I'm not the kind of person to ask for, "Bumps if you agree!" The more replies posts receive I believe increases the likelihood of at least getting Deej's attention. (Although at this point I believe they're well aware that the necrochasm needs a much needed buff). The person who created this post was correct though. Long before the CE hard raid came out they predicted the necrochasm would suck, and I was one of the people saying give the weapon a chance it's not even out yet lol. Good call bud xD

I agree, it does need a buff badly, but I actually kinda love the gun in all honesty. Idk, something about this gun compels me to use it in both PvE and PvP, am I the only one?

I was wondering if i should waste my time with it. Like most things in here since bungie stuck thier big nose in and nerfed autos...im choosy. They need to be fixing the bugs and connection issues instead if thinking up more ways to make this game suck even harder. Thanks for his review.

The impact is impact pet bullet and sinds it had a super high firerate the ttk is not bad at all... I think its a pretty good weapon and i use it often...the only thing that maybe needs to be done to it is a bigger mag. But for the rest its just fine! And the necrocasm Will be awsome, can't wait to get my hands on it

guys. people say its crap.. not me . Its a really good run. people doesnt use the gun properly , they only think to put a shit load of stability. that doesnt work, . Good thing is the explosion and if you adjust it . You put max damage . soo i dont know. I cant really explain but im really liking this gun. And its true about the terrible clip size

Make curse thrall explosion happen without it having to be a headshot/make explosion a but bigger or have the curse explosion chain to more people if you kill someone and people are affected by the explosion.. Increase clip from 42 to at least 55.. Make fitted stock have a bigger increase to stability..

They needed to redefine the thrall perk.....it works just like firefly, almost to the point it might add well be firefly.... The annoying part it that it only weeks sometimes.... And when it does then explosion is not nearly as effective as a curse thrall and a little less then firefly making it inferior to both Maybe if they made it where once you land a kill with or with out precision the target will blow up.... Then that will compensate for the lack of dmg

Sure it has a great fire rate, but if EA or even Necrochasm can't be used effectively except entirely in short bursts, it's useless in anything but groups in PVE. Even if you manage to kill an Ultra Hive with HotP, it still only counts as one kill to upgrade it and four magazines later. The Impact should be doubled in EA and then tripled in Necro, and you could trade-off this with a smaller, reserve mag capacity; in its current state, however, you're bringing a feather to a gunfight.

The necro is a good weapon dont get me wrong but compared to the vex, and suros it is a piece of s***. It needs a buff to be on par with the vex and suros in crucible. It also needs a buff to be the dominant weapon in PvE like the vex was and still is. Here is how I would buff the weapon. 1. Increase the damage rating to 363 to be proportional to the 331 weapons as the vex was to the 300 weapons. 2. Double the base impact. 3. Increase the base range by 50% 4. Increase the base stability by 15% 5. Make the cursebringer explosions proportional to the size of the enemy killed with a precision shot. Basically if you kill an ogre with the damn thing it should have a blast radius bigger than the dragons breath rocket launcher. 6. Get rid of flared magwell and put in field scout and give the necro a mag size of 80. All of those combined would make a beast of a weapon period!

Just got it. Heard the reviews so I wanted it as a CE hard trophy. (raid partner get G-Horn and I got the crux. was pleased but very very jealous.) And After using it: I agree It's not worth the effort. Its a low-mid level "legendary" weapon. The fact it takes a Exotic spot makes this a bad weapon. It's kinda fun to use on low tier PvE, with cursebringer, crit-kill an enemy in a middle of a crowd and Wham! but it could use an impact and/or clip size buff to justify an exotic spot. As an AR w/ high rate of fire it should survive the coming AR nerf relativily unharmed but I can't image it would help.
