[b]"No Land Beyond" Exotic Primary Sniper Rifle - Update Ideas [/b] When I got this gun, I was really excited. After using it for a while, I've realized that it is nearly useless. It is a shame, though, because I've fallen in love with the sound, look, and how the gun feels. I find myself going to the Cosmodrome Patrol just to pop some heads off Dregs. This gun needs some updates. [b][u]Here's a list of it's current specs and Talents:[/u] [/b] [b]Specs: [/b] (The ones I will be discussing) -magazine size: 6 (This is fine, and adds a level of skill. It forces you to line up your shots.) -max ammo: 24 (This needs to change. It is much too low, not to mention the bug that lowers it even more.) -fire rate: 19 (ugh) [b]Talents: [/b](Everything but the muzzles and damage increases) -Mulligan: [i]Missing a shot has a chance to return ammo directly to the magazine.[/i] (This is a good concept, but could use some changes.) -Lightweight: [i]When held, this weapon grants +2 character agility.[/i] (I like this perk, because it helps you duck behind cover if you miss that critical shot. This can stay.) -Snapshot: [i]Aiming this weapon is incredibly fast.[/i] (Why is this needed for a sniper? This gun encourages you to take your time with your shots. This is not needed, unless you're quickscoping.) -Flared Magwell: [i]Reload this weapon even faster[/i]. (This does not apply to the bolt-action animation, and the clip reload is already fast, so this is a bit of a gimmick, but doesn't necessarily need to change.) -The Master:[i] Increased precision damage. Kills briefly increase damage against the next target.[/i] (This is on the right track, but also needs to be altered.) [u][b]Here's a list of stats and talents that I believe should be added to improve this gun:[/b] [/u] [b]Specs: [/b] -magazine size: 6 (This is the same) -max ammo: 42 (The increased ammo allows this gun to be useful for more than 5 enemies) -fire rate: 19 (This is the same, but I'll explain why) [b]Talents: [/b] -Mulligan: [i][b]Dealing damage[/b] has a chance to return ammo directly to the magazine.[/i] (The chance for this should be around 5%, but as long as you don't miss, you might get some ammo back. This is much more useful, and makes the gun seem more like an Exotic.) -Lightweight: [i]When held, this weapon grants +2 character agility.[/i] (This is the same) -Take a Knee: [i]Doubles your accuracy while crouched[/i]. (This seems more like a sniper perk than Snapshot.) -Flared Magwell: [i]Reload this weapon even faster[/i]. (This isn't particularly useful, but every gun has its dud.) -The Master: [i]Increased precision damage. Kills briefly [b]increase fire rate[/b].[/i] (This kind of bribes the user to want to take their time and get those precision kills. Whenever an enemy dies, that bolt-action animation is a lot quicker.) This new list of stats, I believe, would make this gun a lot more useful, and less infamous. I based my perks on the idea that you should take your time with your shots, and you'll be rewarded. I hope that any or all of this is implemented in a future patch, and anyone's support can help get these ideas out there. Thank you! All comments are welcome

  • I made an updated talent tree that has "Take a knee" in it. Instead of "Mulligan" I have "Gunpowder", giving you a chance to fire bullets that deal higher damage but cannot get precision hits. I think NLB could use some different sights instead of the ballistics. They could still be in the same stile, it's just extremely hard to get headshots with the stupid iron sights.
