12,000+ banned in Halo reach for same type of network manipulation of the game. Hundreds are no big deal, especially with 9.5 million accounts.

This ban?
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2010-10-02-bungie-bans-15-000-halo-reach-cheaters
Because player accounts were not banned, they were wiped of credits and put on a short suspension from earning more. I haven't seen precedence for Bungie actually banning players for this. If you have a source, I'd really enjoy the read.

Player accounts are not banned by Bungie. The exploit breaks the EULA. Sony and microsoft do banning. Bungie will only wipe rewards.
Bungie will only wipe rewards
Didn't Bungie just ban a bunch of people for connecting to the game with a modded console? Also, I still get no hits for MS banning 12k Halo Reach players for disconnects. Source?

A few people have linked the source. Bungie just wiped the rewards. The companies inserted bans for EULA.
